No Jon, I didn't interpret Dan saying it was possible to use the
motor bearings for the thrust load. He is talking about the encoder
wheel clearance, don't want no crashin encoders.

How come people don't put the encoders on the ball screw more often?
Is there a problem with it. I am doing a conversion and I will put
the encoders on the ball screws, seems they would be more accurate
there. More of an indication of what is actually moving. JRouche
