$189 + $82 for encoder = $271 each.
Your problem may be trying to "gear" them down in one
step.
I paid $150 each including encoder, and they are brand new.
They are quite a bit slower, but offer more torque. I can
give you the guy's e-mail who sold me the motors. He may
have more. Says he has sold a couple of hundred of them.
BTW the Jet JVM-830 "Baby Bridgeport" is a nice machine and
I came really close to buying one before I got my bridgeport.
Treat your design like a full size bridgeport, because I don't
think pushing a slightly smaller table back and forth across the
ways uses much less force than a 42" table.
