That makes sense, but what I want to know is if the 30/40lb-in torque is the
required input at the leadscrew. i.e. with a 2:1 ratio do I need 15/20lb-in
motors to get 30/40 at the screw or do I need 30/40 motors to get 60/80 at
the screw?

Most people use a 2-1 or 2.5-1 ratio....Depends on your servo
rpm...You want to use most of the servos rpm range to get the most
power out of it...
