DeskCNC is a comprehensive software and hardware controller
package. The software runs under Windows 98 or later and can
provide 4 axes of smooth motion control at up to 125,000 steps per
second. Computer hardware with Pentium Pro200 or P2-350 MMX or later
will run the software.

The hardware controller works with the serial port, and has a
variety of direct control functions such as direct probe interaction
that scans a surface directly to a machinable .stl file, 4 axis
homing, e-stop, pause, and cycle start. Up to 7 relay outputs and a
pwm spindle speed control interface are also included. The latest
versions include machine configurations for lathe, 3 axis mill and
rotary 4th axis, 4 axis foam cutting, and 3 axis routing with a
slaved linear axis. Configurations for 2 axis table machine are
also available.

Besides the advanced machine controller, DeskCNC includes some
serious CAM programming capabilities, including DXF file pocketing,
contouring, and drilling, 3D stl file machining, PCB drilling, trace
routing and cutout, 2D image engraving and 3D image carving,
including image editing and touchup, point cloud to surface, Trutype
font text engraving, HPGL, 3D rotary ring programming(and
machining), and 4 axis foam cut programming( and machining).
