The software and interface is only a small part of the puzzle. Using DeskCNC
pretty much forces you in to using a particular computer and one brand of
operating system. It could be that the original poster has a Mac that does
not have a parallel port or M$.

As someone pointed out, the user interface looked very much like tkemc from
EMC - Which brings up the question... Exactly how much of EMC's GPL code is
in DeskCNC ?
