This reply is well off topic, and may result in a ban... But "very little
software" is probably the worst crap I seen aimed at linux or Mac.
Debian alone has over 16,000 packages in it's repository, and there are
thousands more unofficial packages available - Hell, the main repository
occupies over 100Gig - Now that is a LOT of software.
I would also point out that the number one software package running on the
internet is Apache - Click on any web site (including some of Microsoft's),
and you will find Apache serving the pages - Guess which OS it does NOT run
on.
The only point I will agree on is the viruses, trojans, and other malware that
plagues the world of Windows is absent from both Linux and Mac.
