Mine is mounted in line with the spindle. Not to the side with a belt.
I am using an E-Bay special for the speed contorller, just got it all
soldered up, now I need to connect it to a PC powr supply for the 12
supply. I hope the amps are there : )
There seem to be lots of speed controllers on e-bay, so finding one
should not be any problem.
