Thanks for the info Paul.
The scematic in the link gives me a view of what is actually
happening with the controller, bearing in mind my extremely limited
electronic experience. Building kits over the last 10 years has given
me a very small knowledge but a vested interest in the stuff which I
find fascinating.
A small fan could be attached to the spindle if it was properly
balanced or a form of air injection could be used from a simple fan
with a flexible channel or exhaust air from a vacuum table etc. Lots
of possibilities.
