Try some grease I found on the net the stuff is not effected by water or
solvents and stick to the surface real good it doesn't seem to wipe off.

In any woodworking environment, dry lube is NEVER a good idea. One of the
reasons plain old oil works on slideways, etc. is that it keeps the dust
damp
and not nearly as abrasive as it would be if dry. For starters, the dry
lube
will be gone almost immediately because of the dust, it will simply wear it
all away, second, once gone you are dealing with no lube. Best to stick
with
grease and oil, it works for multi-million dollar equipment, should be good
for small shops as well.
