Hi Paolo,

I have never bought Charcoal lighter fluid until now for that main reason.

Decades ago Los Angeles County had banned the use or charcoal lighter fluid
because the smog levels were way too high. As an alternative, "chimney
starters" were available in the stores for starting bbq's.

You place charcoal in the top, a couple pieces of newspaper underneith and
light. No petro odor and no petro taste in the food. Even though the ban was
lifted, they work very well and I'm still using them, here's a link to some

It's in a cage, but I need to rebuild it as I've found air leaks and now I
want to put in fire proof sheeting (CNC Router == the ultimate rubbing of two
sticks together).
