Baldor 3HP DC 1750rpm motor. Tt has a controller from Electric
Regulator Corp labelled a solid state adjustable speed box.

It seems possible to control this motor with Mach3 but I assume I will
need another motor such as a stepper or servo to make the spindle into
a 4th axis? I will be working with logs 5 feet x 30 inches in
diameter weighing around 1500 pounds... The 3 HP motor does fine in a
spindle motor mode. In a 4th axis mode I would expect to move very
slowly.
