Re: Baldor spindle motor as servo motor 4th axis

I guess this idea begs the question - what is the difference between a
DC motor and a servo motor? Is there something about a DC servo motor
that makes it different that taking a DC 1750 3 hp motor and adding a
servo amp and encoder?
