If you can boot from a CD download a copy of Knoppix, burn it to CD, and
boot it on the system. It is a graphical, easy to use Linux system that
boots and runs entirely from the CD. You can mount the NT file system
and read your files from it and write them off to floppy or to the network.

You can also find floppy disk systems that will read from NTFS. As a
last resort, pull the drive and install it in another NT or XP system as
a second drive.

Unless the drive is physically damaged, you should be able to get your
files off with no more than a couple hours (at the outside).
