Hi Jan,
I know what you mean! My new office IBM machine has no 3.5" floppy. I
don't remember an option for one either when I ordered it.
I have my old office machine on the local net in the house, and it has a
3.5" drive, so I transfer files from my office machine over to my old
machine, and then onto a floppy. Then I can "sneakernet" the floppy over to
the mill's machine (of course, this is all within about 8').
The better way would be to use a USB key, but I don't have one on the mill's
machine.
Plan is to find the matching black carbon-fiber face drive for the IBM. A
lap-link connection could also possibly be used. USB on the mill machine
might be a little harder under DOS, and a pain to have to re-boot to use
it's W98.
