Don't know about the vfd's but if you can find one it won't help
much. route trimmers does not have that much power at low speed. it
has good power till you reach 1/2 the speed rated on the label, less
than that you'll have less power than using a standard dremell.
I had a dewalt trimmer on a Grizzly minimill controler(Yup I know
it's a dc controller, but router motors are not ac nor dc It's a
universal motor or it is ac and dc?)any way it work but as I sayd
performance wasn't that great at less than half the speed rated.
I also have a high frequency motor (200hz) 12K rpm on a tri fase
VFD that can do 200hz and also there is not much power at low speed
less than 2500 rpm.
My guess is that if you have to go less than 1/2 the speed that
the motor is rated get a step pulley + the vfd this way you have
enough power at low speed.
