John, Thats not my mill on the group page. I rig up the vacuum similar as you discribed. Using a mini shop vac it works great. I test milling a blank pcb by cut it in two. It works great.

Hi Bill,

For what it's worth... The plumbing arrangement is nothing more
than an 8" long, 1.25" pipe with a 90 degree angle on one end.
It's the part that connects the sink to the p-trap.....$1.29..
(with the conduit strap holding it in place).

It sticks up like a periscope and the vacuum hose just "sleeves"
over it about 6". The weight of the hose keeps it in place and
makes it easy to remove when you're done with it. It's not
airtight at that connection point, but it doesn't matter.

I didn't expect such a simple arrangement to work...but it does!

Have you looked closely at how the rubber attaches to a mini-mill.
It's a little different from what seems the obvious way to do it.

Whenever the table closes up near to the end the rubber material
bunches into a mess. Buying things online has its pitfalls. I was
thinking more on the lines similar to bellows on old style cameras.
I've found some, but the price is way to high. Up to $400 just for
enogth material I would need.
