Hi Bill,

I hate to toss in a major change, but I have the rails upside down,
under the table. Sliding gantry.

Also, you might be able to use roll up window shades with the lach
removed so it never stops.

Since your chips are cold and not sharp, it should last a long time.

The vacuum is a PITA on PCB machines. If you can find a quiet
spindle then the vac is horrible. If not, put it all in an enclosure.

For PCB work, i use an old home vac with a removable bowl, no bag,
and that has a hard filter that can be washed. It also has a HEPA
filter on the exhaust.

Really fine fiberglass dust could get in other machines if it gets
airborne. Good idea to cover other machines when you are not using
them.
