Re:Lead screws and mill dust

It has been years since I subscribed to the photo magazines, but they
used to advertise bellows units for 35mm SLR cameras that allowed you
to use your normal lenses for macro work. I had an inexpensive
import bellows unit that extended to about 8 or 9 inches. Purchasing
a unit that uses adapters for different lens mounts would save some
money by not buying the mounts. Sacrificing two or three of these
could provide enough bellows length for your lead screw. Just join
them together. You may have to paint them with an extra protective
coating for shop use.

Or a camera repair shop may be able to get just the bellows as a part.
