I admit I do run some big machines. One of my lathes is a 3.5 tonne
monster that will flatten most tables ;-) However I also have a Denford
Orac which is a larger table top machine. I also have a Denford Triac
benchtop mill. A while back I retrofitted an Emco Compact5 CNC lathe for
a local woodworker. He kept complaining about how slow it was. In the
end I replaced the steppers with servos. It now flies, turning out chess
pieces and flute parts.
