Since we now seem to be through most of the BS, here are some questions
that should be answered to correctly recommend any system for your
router.

What size is it? What is the weight of the traveling members? Bridge
or Gantry. Does it slide freely on all axes?

What size motors are on it now ( NEMA 23, 34, 17?) What OZ-IN Rating.

What power supply is available on the machine volts DC and delivered
amps.

What is the HP rating of the spindle motor?

What are the type, diameter, and pitch/lead of the screws on the
machine?
