Hi Nigel,
I'd bet you could get it without the PC, if desired. You'd have to
install EMC. The PC hard drive can be partitioned, and the PC made to
boot in either Linux or Windows if desired.
I believe there is a distributor in the UK.
Spindle motors are 100VAC to 240 VAC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, so no worries there.
