Nigel,
Although a bit more money, take a look at Taig cnc ready mills. I'm
quite happy with mine. Rhino is an excellent program, and while it will run
on just about anything it is much nicer on a fast box with lots of memory
especially when working on very complex detailed models. If using TurboCnc
to run the mill even an antique 486 is good enough and my preference is
separate computers for design and milling. Look at MeshCam for converting
rhino .stl files into g-code.
