I've also spoken with Dennis in the past. The guy really does know his
stuff.

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Solved [was Re: supertech]

So I spoke to Dennis Bohlke at Supertech directly. He told me of an
undocumented subroutine that exercises the steppers, a production
burn-in type of thing. Then after some more discussion, he asked
what operating system I was running.

From what he tells me, it turns out that the version of SuperCAM I
have, v3.6, apparently never was intended to run under Win95 or
newer.

This despite the fact there is both dossetup.bat and winsetup.exe on
the CD. Perhaps the winsetup.exe is for win3.1 systems which still
run the DOS kernel.

Dennis DID offer to fix my controller if there were an issue with it,
and also offered me a new version of SuperCAM for $95.

So for now I merely took my dedicated p233/32mB lunchbox and
converted it to DOS.

Preliminary indications are excellent.

Will post more as it develops.

Alls well that ends well.
