Hi Tom,

The idea for the CNC_MMG list was as a complimentary
group for the normal cnc groups.

A place where it'd be hard to be off-topic. Someone
would be encouraged to discuss and promote the things
they make or services they provide.

It's a well known nightmare for someone just getting
started in cnc as a hobby or even a small business
to sift through tons of information, and still end
up scratching their heads at the end of a very Long
day.

They could ask any and all directly to the person
or company providing the item or sevices they're
in the market for and nobody would take offense
at going off topic.

Topics would be very wide ranging. To a question
such as "What can I do about dust collection here
in my small shop" to "Tell me more about your BOB"

Trials and tribulations of setting up and running
a "micro manufacturing" operation on the kitchen
table, or Who's go a few Bridgeports they'd sell
me. I myself will be looking for a small operation
to make a small amount of parts in time.

I take it you see at least *some* potential value
in such a thing and I'd be very pleased to turn
the running of it over to you.

In fact I'd be grateful, you are one of those
community leaders I mentioned!

John
