Hi Dan,
Just read through your article again. It may well answer all my
questions. I had forgotten the level of detail you provided.
My CNC router is in a state of transition as I prepare to install the
second set of ball nuts to give me lower backlash. I'm running 8
steps/step (1600 per rev) and get a nice smooth movement at 110 ipm
according to the MACH3 config motor tuning. SmoothStepper from an older
PC.
I've never really planned on having more than an 8"x8" work envelope so
that's the size of heated table/pad I'm considering.
It's trying to decide which head to buy and dealing with the temperature
control. The one you use
