I just had time to look over your pictures again. I'm pretty sure you got
the same ballscrews as I. These are the NSK units with the big rectangular
nuts? Has three ball return tubes and an inch mounting pattern? I have it set
up with six 1/4-28 socket head allen screws.

The reason I write is I wondered why you were cutting the ballscrew bearing
area? Are you running smaller bearings? The shaft was damaged?

I will recut mine due to the journal being too short. I may not, I have to
think about this one some more. How are you gonna mount the y axis nut? I
have the x axis done, now the Y. I really think I need to cut the slot larger
in the base casting. I'd hate to grind it.
