Mike,
When you really think about it, the ballscrew is a cnc machine's heart in
terms of accuracy or inaccuracy. Whether the iron is old or new, the required
tolerances of the parts you want to produce will dictate dollars you spend on
the screws. Old iron, unless seriously out of square and or the ways are
shot, will make parts just as nice as newer iron as long as your CNC system
is set up correctly.
