True on general press fits. Not always best for high precision ball
bearings. In this case we are supposed to be using matched pair single row
angular contact bearings. Depending on how these are setup, either the out
side or inside pair of races need to have a slip fit so the preload can be
adjusted. The other pair of races would usually be a light press fit and
held in place with a bolted retainer or adjusting ring. FYI
