Tim, Bill
I also have been thinking about an EDM machine, and some time ago,
started gathering data about EDM in industry, and one of the best
"books" I found (and was sent to me FREE) was a handbook from
POCO Graphites. Their book principally covered sinker type of
machines (because of their product focus), but a worthwhile addition
to one's library.
I just did a search, and found that they now have a web site
http://www.poco.com and that they now offer their handbook as both
paper or CD rom.
One other note, there is a book on wire EDM that I bought (I can't take time
to search for it now) that claimed to be everything to everybody, and turned
out to be just a book that discussed a few basics (very lightly touched) and
pictures of lots of things that could be made with wire EDM ..... a total waste
of my money. The free stuff was a much better value.
Regards,
George Potter
