Tim, I am sure you wired them up as 4 pairs (each pair in series) and then
put those 4 pairs in parallel.
That was a neat move because assuming the electrode / workpiece contact as a
dead short you draw 7.5A which is a good setting for your supply.
That current splits out 4 ways into each pair of resistors so each pair
passes about 1.8A so each resistor will pass 1.8A so will be driving 44W
which is a good level for the 50W rating.......if that is what you
calculated, that was slick and you now qualify as one of the resident
electronics advisors on this list ...any chance of getting you to design a
Servo-to-Go clone :)
