The pulley is being raised, but apparently isn't being disengaged.
This is what leads me to believe that there's more wrong there than just
bearings, and why I don't think this is going to be a two hour repair
job. (assuming I knew what the bearing #s are and had them sitting
here...)
The air brake on the spindle used to really slam things to a stop near
instantly. I put a flow restrictor inline to soften things, and put a
braking resistor kit on the VFD to really take the load off the brake.
I'm sorta suspecting the contant rapid deceleration has worn something.
My BP is a VS, so it's no help.
