Hi,
I wanted to thank everybody for the electrical details on 1phase and 3phase
connectors.
Now I will never mistake a NEMA L14-20 (single phase) for a L15-20
twistlock(3phase).

Was even able to assist a guy in home depot yesterday on the subject. He had
the L14-20 conns on his generator an was making an extension cable for his
welder that was just like mine.

As a postmortem:
It ended up being that the cable deal was a fallout of the Y2K scare. Home
depot
stocked up on these "Emergen" brand products for backup power, and is
now dumping the excess stock. I was racing with a Haunted house business
to buy up the remaining 40' cables (@ $6.93 !!!) but they where
all sold out quickly here in Phoenix.
