Thanks to everyone! I knew converting Gerber to G-code isolation tool
paths wasn't an easy task. Thanks for the technical outline. It's funny
how we stick with ancient protocols, specifications and formats from when
computers used paper tape readers! The shareware from:

looks interesting even if it doesn't get all the way to the end
result. The price is right at least. The software from:

looks to be EXACTLY what I want! $320 is a little hard to swallow, but
that's only the price of a couple of prototype PCB runs. Considering it
probably took more than a few evenings to code the software, and it's a
small market, it's likely a fair price. I'll also look at:

to see what PCB features they offer. I would be surprised if it's set up
to do isolation machining, however. Thanks again. This is a great group!
