You need to use a transistor switch to drive the relay. When this was asked
a year or so ago I put the instructions on my website. Go to:
http://www.ktmarketing.com/CNC.html
Select the 5th link from the top "Parallel Port Hookup to Controller". At
the bottom of the page is a diagram and explanation of how to hook this up
with a 2N2222 or any suitable NPN transistor.
