Interisting post...2 hours ago i was at a friends place and he told
me the ericson spindle does not work very well (he uses it at work
every day). Acording to him this retrofit does not use a draw bar to
hold the #30 tool holder in the spindle, it is held in place by a cap
that screws on the spindle. If he uses a carbide insert tool 1" or
bigger in dia and takes a slow cut, the tool holder will loosen fall
out and roll across the floor. He says he also has a problem with
smaller cutters especially if they are high helix.
