Screwless lead screw...Damn....why didn't I think of that...I must of seen
them dozens of times. That's what Burroughs and other scope makers use in
their adjustable rifle scopes! You don't really even need bearings. Just
make the tubes aclose slip fit, cut spiral grooves on the inner tube, add
some lugs on the outside of the outer tube and install some dog point set
screws in the lugs that screw in far enough to engage the slots.
