These are the supporting electronics. If the DRO has output or you
can hack it, you don't need to purchase it.

On the other hand, servos (steppers) will be pricey for
the power needed. Also, encoder input to the PC for location is
needed with servos, or for absolute distance with steppers.
Won't that require some type of input card for the pc?

I see power feeds on some used models. Can these be controlled by
the Gecko or a higher voltage unit?

Ballscrews for the Z axis ?
