Re: Taig CNC mill

Rab,

I'm already up and running CNC on my old Sears/Sherline mill! I was
just surprised to see Taig's CNC. I hadn't kept up with them, although
I saw them at P.R.I.M.E., and they didn't show anything like that!

I want a second mill, a "big brother" to the Sherline! I'd looked at
the EMCO FB-2, which I hear Blue Ridge no longer imports. :>( Myford is
reported to have an Asian import made to their specs (Guy Lautard's
site), and I've recently been looking at the Prazi BF400-450. Actually,
the Parazi is cheaper then the EMCO, $2495 vs $2795.

Taig has done a good job in the "packaging" of the mill. Offering
controller software (choices!), driver, "CNC ready" mills, is a wise
move IMO.
