Personally, even with the aid of an industrial-sized shoe-horn, I have
great difficulty seeing exactly how I would fit a Bridgie in the 2' X 2'
footprint currently occupied by my Taig mill. Quite apart from minor
details like...the bench wouldn't stand the strain, and in order to
install it I would need to drop the sucker down through the living room
floor (having first taken the minor precaution of removing the front
windows to get it into the living room in the first place) to get it
installed in the cellar. As the cellar has restricted headroom, I suspect
that the "power bulge" that would be needed in the living room floor might
prove unacceptable to The Management. Apart from that, Great idea! Bring
on the Bridgeport! ;-)

I guess the point is that there is a place for small machines like the Taig
- and often one that (literally) can't be filled by larger machines,
regardless of how cheap, capable, or otherwise desirable they might be.
