Yes, the Series-II Bridgeport is quite a massive machine! It is about 7 1/2
feet tall, so there's no way I can put one in my basement, much as I'd like to.
Be aware of the height of these machines when you are making your
decision. The Series-II, step-pulley models are only a little over 6', and will
fit in many basements. The ones with the longer tables can still take up a
lot of room, sideways.
