Nevertheless, the ethics of stealing software seem lost on some people.

A few years ago.....the entire King County Court system (Seattle, WA, etc) was found to be using one copy of WP across the whole
system. When this news broke there was not a single copy of WP left on the shelves between Vancouver (WA) and the northern border
of WA. They all got soaked up in trying to get legal in a couple of days.
When the judges don't seem to know the difference we are all in trouble.
