Please let me put my two cents worth here. This list was started for the
home machine shop, trying to build his own CNC machine. It was not designed
to be for the professional. But that being said, we all do benefit from the
professionals. I have said it before and I will say it again,
IF YOU DON'T ASK/POST ABOUT THE SMALLER MACHINES, THEN WHOSE FAULT IS
IT????????
I am doing a Sherline mill now, and when I ask questions on the list, it is
usually the professionals that furnish the answer.
I can't twist everybody's arm to make them post, although I have tried many
times.
I recently asked how others were handling lubrication on small machines, and
got maybe 3-4 answers.
Now I know that there are many Sherline conversions out there and there
should have been many more ideas and answers...........why didn't you
answer????????
Remember Tim and I have constantly monitored this list to avoid Flaming, so
post and we will stand behind you.
In a few minutes I will start a thread "Small Machine CNC"
Now I expect at least 100 posts in the next week, including how it works for
you, lubrications, what you would do differently next time, what you have
made. Or any other thing on the Small Machine CNC thread.
Splitting the list will not be good for any of us, in my humble opinion.
