Re: List goals/aims/results?

Alan,

The two lists Fred mentioned (I am/was? a member of both, and have
read all the posts) were started by people who LEFT this list.
Wilfrid Blais started the Alldomyself, I believe, after he found our
list not meeting his needs. I don't recall the 'starter' of the The
minicnc list, but I'm pretty sure it too was a "not wanting CCED"
guy.

We will always have these splinter groups, and I think it's okay. If
they find an audience, and are managed well, they will thrive. If
they do not meet the needs of their members (or are not well
publicised) they will die. This is as it should be, IMO.

I really brought this all up so we would remember the little guys,
and to give them "permission" to talk, and not feel off topic.
