I bought one of these at NAMES for $109, so far it seems to work pretty
good. I used it to turn a stub end for a ball screw and it came out quite
nicely. This piece was made from 7/8 CRS and has a 5/8X18 threaded portion.
I got a much better finish than I had ever gotten with carbide. It's easy
to sharpen too!
