I had a nice PacSci Stepper with a bent shaft. Pulled the rotor out
put it in the lathe chuck with a dial indicator and marked the "high" spot,
Clamped it in the vice and proceded to whack it with a large hammer
on the mark. Put it back in the lathe and started all over again. Did that
about 20 times until it was reasonably straight. Put it all back together
and it worked great for at least 2 years. I would still be using it except
I upgraded to servos. Your mileage may vary.
