Hi,

That just reminds me. I took apart some early Intel power supplies, and
the "filter" section you mention was on a SEPARATE board! Caps and
toroids, well made. This might make an ideal "front end" to a stepper
power supply. I'm looking for them now (I never throw anything away!).
