Ohhhhhh...okay.

What is called "Terminal" on mine looks like a DOS window represented in the
icon.

did this and got "bash: cd/usr/local/emc : no such file or directory"

Yessir.
Also of note is that I have an icon on the desktop named "emc"
representing a folder and having the little windows type shortcut arrow.
Clicking it, I go to the directory you asked me for.
(that's weird)
Clicking the file named "emc.run" results in nothing.

Any ideas?
