I just figured this out as well, only different.
While in the terminal window, one of the "pull down" options was "Root
Login".
Looked good, so I tried it.
BAM~!
Up comes EMC. (after the correct login of course)

Okay, I'm *very* tired now, and have to get up in 5-1/2 hours,
so I'll try more tomorrow.
