There is a sim version that does not need the real time functions.
The real version he is refering to is the one that uses the real time
linux and actually runs the motors. All of the run files are real versions
except sim.run I believe. emc.run is real. They are all the same except
they have different parameters in the associated ini file. emc.run
uses emc.ini, generic.run uses generic.ini etc. Thats where you put
the parameters for your machine, acceleration, steps/inch, etc
