I believe you.
It is messy and mostly impossible to make collets with homeshop
machinery.
But wherefore I have the HEHL-factory only 17 KM away?
In my own shop I HAD TO do it only some 7 times and only three times
I got satisfied. At least I got the jobs ready with these
temporary collets.

Sharpening drill bits a problem?
Any baby can do it with a machine.
In my opinion it is one of the most important training
procedures for mecanics to be able to do it with reasonable
results by hand. For production obviously you better make it
with a machine. But you cannot call a guy a mecanics if he has
neither the eye nor the hand to do it himself.

Sadly I have to deal with too many pseudo-mecanics.
AND THEY KEEP ME BUSSY fixing their machines.
